I don’t know how to play keyboard, but I like to pretend I do. I made a series of improvised keyboard songs and compiled them into an album called Conquête Automatique. The name means “automatic conquest,” which symbolizes the joy of automatic creation without formal skills and structures. This project was about leaning into my lack of skills and using that to my advantage to create something unique, inspired by outsider musicians and fluxus art.
